Professional Information

Libraries, Archives, Exhibits, and Me

Working in a non-profit specialized research library has provided me with the opportunity to try on many professional hats. My time at the McClelland Library has finetuned my communication, time management, research, writing, customer service, and organizational skills. I have had the good fortune of working directly with the conservation and preservation of rare, special, and archive collections in addition to developing new historical exhibits from the ground up.  In addition to managing and providing public services, collection processing, and policy development for a library, archive, and museum, I have also had the opportunity to gain experience in employee and volunteer management, project management, grant writing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and other administrative functions. The SARS-COV-2 pandemic further provided me the unexpected opportunity of developing and executing emergency plans and services for an organization under ever changing and unexpected circumstances.
